1.Why Reciprocating pumps make more noise and prone to frequent maintenance compared to centrifugal pumps?
Reciprocating pump have more moving parts than centrifugal pump.

2.What are the advantages of wear ring?
Wear ring helps in balancing axial load and prevents impeller from wear

3. Why Constant level Oiler required?
It maintains required oil level in the sump.

4. Why there are pumps with double suction?
Thrust load is balanced in pumps with double suction. Generally in pumps with high capacity, thrust load is more.
