Interesting problems

1.Design a chain of sequential event. one event triggering
another and finally raising a flag.

2.Here you have to make a clock powered by a mechanical source without using any
energy storing devices like springs, rubber bands or any elastic material. The
single input to clock has to be provided ONCE is used to power the clock. The
clock should consist of a seconds hand, a minute hand and an hour hand. The dial
of the clock should be with numbers mentioned on it with equal spacing between
them. The participant has to power the clock for “few minutes” and the
Mechanical clock performance will be calculated on the basis of its time i.e. “that
few minutes” compared with the conventional clock when both are running
simultaneously.

3.You are required to design a mechanical model
which can convert the input binary to equivalent decimal
Eg. A no is inputted as 111 whose equivalent decimal no is 7 so the model
designed should show either ( show 7 balls, or 7 colors or any object)or output in
any form, which can result into output of desired decimal no (here it is 7) The input binary no. can vary from(0000-1111) and corresponding
output (decimal equivalent can vary from (0-15).A participant will be a
given three chance to show different output for respective inputs.

4.Here you have to make a vehicle which will be propelled by its
own mass under the force of gravity without using any energy storing devices like
springs, rubber bands or any elastic material.
The input to the vehicle to start its motion will be its gravitational
energy i.e. the mass of the vehicle should be sufficient to move the vehicle. The task of the vehicle in the final round is to cross a line which is 1000cm from the starting point in minimum time. There should be no external source of energy which can provide the instantaneous thrust to the vehicle. The only source of energy should be the potential energy of the mass of the vehicle. The mass of the vehicle will be measured before starting the task and after completion of the task so there should be no loss in mass of the vehicle during the performance of task.
The dimensions of the vehicle are 30cm*30cm*50cm and the maximum weight of
the vehicle must not exceed 20kg.
