Volkswagen Passat

The new Passat is far more sleek, dignified and imposing than its predecessor. VW is building this car on its new MQB platform and despite being roomier on the inside than the outgoing model and having a larger 586 litre boot, it has shed 85kg. As always, every knob, button and panel feels solidly put together and built to last. The new Passat is also feature-packed with kit that includes smartphone app mirroring, Google Earth, an optional 12.3 inch customisable active display, rear seat entertainment, LED headlights and heaps more. Engine options are currently unknown but Volkswagen could bring the 2.0 litre, 187 bhp diesel and the 148 bhp diesel motors to help it compete with the Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry.
