Scaffolds are temporary work places to provide support for workmen, plant & materials used in building, construction, maintenance, repair & demolition work etc.
Basically there are three types of scaffolding being used in construction sites:-
A. Tube and fitting type.
B. Cup lock system type.
C. ‘H’ frame type
Scaffolding Hazards
Fall from height.
Scaffold collapse.
Unsecured ladders slipping.
Use of faulty or unsuitable materials.
Inadequately supported scaffold boards.
Inadequate platform width.
Toe boards, guard rails missing.
Over loading the scaffold and platform.
Inadequate bracing or unsecured scaffold.
