Best ways to meet Nitrogen requirement according to the demand and quantity required

If you need high purity nitrogen in large quantities (>1000 Nm3/h, >%99,99) probably cryogenic separation or buying liquid nitrogen will be the optimum solution. Cryogenic separation plants cost high to build but low to operate.

If your nitrogen need is very small in quantity (<1 Nm3/h), buying in gas cylinders probably will be the best solution.

If nitrogen you need is low both in purity and quantity (<%98, <20 Nm3/h), PSA system or membrane nitrogen generators are the best solution. Membrane generators have
advantages over PSA system generators like being more quiet and occupying less space but their both investment and maintenance costs are higher.

PSA System generators are the best solution for all other applications. These generators cost low to own and operate but can produce nitrogen up to 99,99% purity. It is possible to achieve higher purities but in this case cost of nitrogen increases rapidly.

Cryogenic air separation is the most cost effective technology for larger plants and for producing very high purity oxygen and nitrogen.
