Design a Hand held staple sewing machine

The machine should stitch by an action similar to stapling action. One important module is the bobbin mechanism. Also ensure that when the needle goes in and out of the cloth during the stitch, the cloth is held stationary (so as to not tear the cloth). This should be followed by the forward motion of the cloth by a specific pitch.

Toy Bird

Design a mechanism whose output is a bird kind of structure moving to and fro with synchronous flapping of wings. The input is constant rotary motion. See the following link for the animation of the mechanism Flying-PigConcentrate on the mechanism part, the bird structure need not be given much importance. Participants are not expected to do the animation, but are expected to come up with the mechanism.
